As you may or may not know, BeefLoaf and Chorizy-E like to make a bet or two. So we figured we’d share a few of our season long bets with you. I think you know the first one already:

The Steak Dinner Bet: White Sox Over 555.5 Runs Scored

BeefLoaf and Josh Nelson have a yearly steak dinner bet and for the past two years, Beef has been victorious. Including the White Sox becoming a reasonable defense for the last month of the season in 2024 to hold the under on runs allowed. Here’s the bet going down at Opening Day Eve:

Pete Alonso MLB RBI Leader

Pete Alonso ended up staying in Queens and Chorizy-E believes he will benefit greatly from this. This is mostly based on this nugget from Joe Sheehan in his newsletter:

It seems likely that Soto will join Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo atop the Mets batting order, in front of Alonso. Those three were on base last year, less home runs, a combined 654 times. Over the last three seasons, Soto, Lindor, and Nimmo are three of the top eight players in baseball at reaching base without circling them.
