XMas Wishlist for White Sox Gameday Operations | 12 Days of #108Mas

We spend a lot of time talking about the team on the field and what we’d like to see there. The only thing we spend more time doing is going to the actual games. And while the play on the field has been awful, we continue to have a good time in Section 108. But there are some improvements they can make. What I am going to focus on is Season Ticket Holder perks. This is 100% in my own self-interest, but it can also be on their list of features they send out when most fans would scoff at “priority on playoff tickets.”

Season Ticket Holder Entrance

This one is pretty easy to accomplish because they have a pretty much unused entrance at Gate 1. They use this for Patio Parties and I am not sure anything else. It’s also enough out of the way that it’s not even difficult to keep non-STH attendees from trying to enter there. Because it’s semi-used, it’s already staffed and equipped. Could be an easy win. The smart beer vendors would hang out between gate 1 and 2.

Points Program

We always talk about the need for the White Sox to use analytics, well this extends to the rest of the org. They should be tracking what the people who come to the game the most are spending their money on. A great way to do that is to have them enroll in a points program. For the STH, they can get discounts on future season tix, merch, whatever. For the team, they can get better insight into what repeat purchases are happening from the people there the most. If they did this, they probably wouldn’t be selling old ass craft beer for 25 cents in September.

Additionally, they can make one of the bigger point options scanning your ticket at the game and buying additional tickets. Great way to keep asses in the seats all year long. If there were incentive to give your ticket away when you can’t go, more people would take the time to do it.

Discounts on Food and Beverage

This is an easy one. The people that spend the most in your park should get a little bit of a break. Not much else to say here.

Uber Stadium

OK, I’m inventing this one. But there should be an app for season ticket holders where they can order like Door Dash or Uber Eats and send someone to go to different stands and pick them up food, then bring it to the seats. And I don’t mean the bullshit delivery on the ballpark app where you can only get hot dogs and a few beers. No, they can go anywhere in the stadium and pick you up some shit, even the club level.

Road Watch Parties

The Sox have a bar attached to the stadium and they just don’t use it. Invite your season ticket holders in for a road game and do an all you can drink special. And of course, you can hire FromThe108 to be the pre-game entertainment.
