College Football Week 10 Bets

The blog had a nice week last week  with a 3-1 record.  The only loss was an all time bad beat suffered by King Nom.  This week we are joined by Sean Anderson from the CHGO network.  Sean is the host of the CHGO White Sox podcast as well as the CHGO bets podcast.  Tune in to both shows on a daily basis on the CHGO network.

Brew Hand Bet One: Texas Tech at TCU (TCU Team Total over 39.5)

Sonny Dykes has this TCU offense cooking with quarterback Max Duggan leading the charge.  This number is on the higher side, but don’t let that give you cold feet as the game total is 69. (Nice!)  Additionally, TCU is averaging 44 points per game and the Horned Frogs have scored 40 or more points in 5 of their 8 games this season.

Brew Hand Bet Two: Alabama at LSU (LSU 1st Half +7)

LSU has been playing much better under Brian Kelly as the season has progressed.   The Tigahs will be prepared and they will have the home crowd throwing the Tide off of their game early on.  I don’t trust this LSU team to be able to hold on to cover for the entire game.  However, Alabama has shown to be vulnerable and slow starters this season and LSU has enough talent to hang on through the half.

King Nom’s #108ing Bet: Tennessee at Georgia (Over 65)

I am officially shook.  I can’t pick a winner if my life depended on it.  Maybe it is time to fade my picks if you haven’t been doing that already.  Or maybe it isn’t!  I can’t pick a winner against the spread but surely I can grab an over/under!  The play this week is Tennessee and Georgia over 65.  Two teams averaging over 40 points and 500 yards a game.  This has to be the week!  If it’s not, Hailey will be making my selection for next week.

Guest Picker – Sean Anderson: UNLV at San Diego State (UNLV ML +240)

I am sorry that this question might bring up bad memories.  Do you remember where you were on September 20th, the day the White Sox welcomed the Guardians into Guaranteed Rate Field only 4 games back in the AL Central?  Well that painful day was the TUESDAY after Virginia Tech won its last football game.  Georgia Tech’s defense being the best side of the ball for either team and taking them at +135 is a slam dunk.  However, +135 is too low for my first ever lock on this site.  With UNLV starter Doug Brumfield returning to action, I LOVE the Rebels to upset the Aztecs.  UNLV had a top 50 passing attack in CFB before Brumfield’s injury and the Aztecs showed last week that they can be susceptible to explosive passing plays.

4-0 is on the horizon this week.  Tail us or fade us, but most importantly if you’re going to fade a pick then #FadeKingNom.
