Favorite Album: @MrDelicious13

I’ve literally known BeefLoaf my entire life, yet I still had no idea what to expect for his favorite album. If I would have guessed, I would have been wrong.

50 Cent – Get Rich or Die Tryin’

First time you heard it

It was 2003, shortly after release and “In da Club” was on at every bar you went to. This album helped me get through the last couple tax seasons before I left public accounting.

How often do you listen to it?

I listened to it last week in it’s entirety. I go in fits and starts, sometimes it’s in my rotation where I am listening weekly and then I’ll take time where I don’t listen for a few months, but I always come back to it.

Why is this your favorite album?

It’s got great production (obv Dr. Dre). It’s got great story telling. It’s got excellent flow (Eminem, Yayo, Young Buck and Lloyd Banks) and it’s got great comedy (“I love you like a fat kid loves cake”). Top to bottom it has excellent tracks, there isn’t a skippable song on the record. There’s pop songs, ballads and heavy tracks. It’s even got the obligatory Nate Dogg singing over the chorus song (which is standard on any rap album between 1994-2004).

Which track would be your walk up music?

Patiently Waiting
