First time you heard it

My Uncle Paul when he was younger used to live upstairs from my grandmother’s house. He used to have this 5 stereo speaker system in his apartment so anytime he would play music you can always hear it downstairs. I was visiting my grandmother’s house and he started playing Plush and the song instantly got me. I wanted to hear more of them so I went to this music store in Bridgeview called Unabused Music (no longer there) and they used to have the listening station where you could listen to samples songs of the album. As soon as Dead and Bloated came on it was a great start to the album then Sex Type Thing was next and again it just kept you engaged to the album. From beginning to end it’s a great underrated album!

How often do you listen to it?

A lot-more so now on Vinyl! I’m huge into Vinyls and it took a while for me to find this album because it’s not a common one to get represssed so luckily I have a guy in Lakemoor that ordered it for me at a good deal! I would listen to it fairly often but when I’m at home I’m putting that record on, just sounds so much clearer than listening to it on CD.

Why is this your favorite album?

Reminds of a time when I started really getting into music. It was around the time when the Seattle music scene was exploding-even though they’re from San Diego it was something different from the hair metal bands that were dominating the late 80’s/early 90’s

Which track would be your walk up music?

Plush-it’s what got me into them in the first place and not a bad song to walk up to!
