New Years 6 Bowl Game Bets
After taking a few weeks to mentally reset and spend time with family and friends for the holidays, we are back! The regular season records don’t matter anymore. #FadeKingNom is no longer relevant and it’s time to step up when it matters most for the biggest bowl games of the season.
This week we welcome our guy, BeefLoaf as our guest picker. You’s all know Beef already, so he doesn’t need a big introduction. Check out the most recent episode of the From The 108 podcast with special guest Jeff Passan who bodies Beef and MSS live and in person. BeefLoaf Bet: Peach Bowl – Ohio State ML +205

There used to be a time when ole BeefLoaf bet very seriously. At that time he derived a substantial chunk of his income from said activities. That is pretty clearly in the rearview, but some of those principles can still be applied. As an arbitrager, mainly, I’d end up with the type of positions that would have the average punter saying “YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT!”.
So, I figured it was time to look at the board and find that bet, and for me, it’s the Buckeye’s money line. Georgia is a fucking unit. They are the defending champs. They rolled in the SEC Championship game. Meanwhile, tOSU backed into the playoff because they weren’t even playing on the Championship weekend, as Coach Harbaugh and the Wolverines put a foot in their ass on their home field. Oof. That’s my team. The one dragging ass in here.

Brew Hand Bet One: Peach Bowl- Ohio State vs Georgia (Georgia 1st half -3.5)
This game will be played in Atlanta and is essentially a home game for the Bulldogs. Ohio State, meanwhile, is fortunate that they’re even in the playoff after getting boat raced by Michigan on their home turf. It’s possible this game could get ugly, so if you want to bet Georgia and the full game spread, I’m all for that play. However, Ohio State is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games. Georgia and the points for the first half is the best bet in this game.
Brew Hand Bet Two: Rose Bowl- Penn State vs Utah (Utah -2)
The granddaddy of them all is my favorite sporting event every year, so of course I’m betting this game. Utah started the season with a lot of playoff contender hype. I still believe this team is one of the best in the country as they were two bad plays away from being a one loss team that would be in the playoffs. Kyle Whittingham is one of the best coaches in the country and returns the majority of a team that played in the Rose Bowl last season and fell just short to Ohio State in an all time great game.
Despite opt outs and injuries from Utah’s starting RB and TE, they will have the depth and experience to avenge their Rose Bowl loss from last season and should be able to handle a talented, young Penn State team that still needs to show they can hang with the big dogs.
King Nom’s #108ing Bet: Fiesta Bowl-TCU vs Michigan -7.5
As I sit back and reflect on the last 365 days, I keep asking myself “What was my most impressive accomplishment this year?” If you have been following the blog at all this year, then the answer should be as simple to you guys as it was to me. My #108ing pick of the week has been absolutely flawless this year! I don’t remember my exact record, but I’m fairly certain that I never lose. Gambling is so easy and picking college football winners is just a sure fire way to an early retirement! Michigan -7.5 is the pick this week. Coach Harbaugh will have the team ready to roll and a semi final match with TCU should be a nice stepping stone into the national title game.
But Wait There’s More! Cotton Bowl- Tulane vs USC (USC -2)
That’s not the only money I plan on winning you readers this weekend either! Jump on USC -2 on Monday. It will be a nice long weekend for many people and what better way to spend it than by bringing home some easy cash?
