Can you create a comparable team to the White Sox off the street?
We’re a couple-two-tree weeks into the season and the White Sox are stinking it up. There have been some signs of life and we’re excited to see Chase Meidroth up, but this is a bad team. So bad that I am tempted to perform this exercise to see how much is readily available off the street.

This was not as much fun as I’d hoped and this would be a horribly bad team. But I would give a look at some of the bullpen guys. Turnbull in particular worked well as a reliever when healthy. There are a few flavors of these guys: aging out of the game, oft injured, busts, or fringe players. I will say there are some guys I am surprised are available here like Whit Merrifield since he still runs well and has some position flexibility.
But could this team beat the White Sox? They’d have to have an unreal run of health and performance to beat them on a regular basis. I have to be honest, some of the pitchers on this list may not have working arms. I’ll give the edge to the current White Sox roster, but damn it shouldn’t be as close as it is!

I would love if we took a chance on a lot of the guys you listed.
