The A-Team

As I scour the internet for things that are interesting, well, interesting to me, I occasionally find something worth sharing. In this case, it is the fact that one of the A-Team vans is up for auction:

While I do want one of you out there in White Sox Nation to win this auction and invite your friends in the 108 to a tailgate this upcoming season, I thought I’d do something else. I thought I’d put together the A-Team from our pitching staff.

Lieutenant Templeton “Faceman” Peck

The Face of the A-Team can really only go to one guy on the staff and that is Lucas Giolito. In fact, I had to go to IMDB just to make sure that by some strange coincidence the original Faceman was not played by Rick Giolito. He was not, but if anyone has a time machine, maybe suggest that to the casting agency.

Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith

The man with the plan is definitely Dallas Keuchel. While he probably approaches it slightly different than Hannibal would, Keuchel is the player you expect to take charge in the clubhouse and to point the pitching staff in the right direction.

Sergeant Bosco “B.A.” (Bad Attitude) Baracus

From his own mouth, I think we can agree that Lance Lynn is going to the be our B.A. Baracus:

“Early on in my career, it was my personality and my desire to win that looked like a bad attitude,” said Lynn. “Now, it looks like I’m a bulldog. I think the more success you have the more things are accepted in this sport. I would have high highs and low lows. I had to find a way to be in between, and then I could be myself.”

Also, as the most 108thicc of the crew, we feel he is likely the muscle.

Captain H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock

Murdock is arguably the most talented of the bunch and in later seasons, he gets all kinds of wild tasks to handle other than flying. But he’s also a bit eccentric, ok, very eccentric. Do we have this guy on the staff? Or do we need to sign one Trevor Bauer to take this role? Let me know who Murdock should be.
