The 5 – Chorizy-E’s Favorite Cocaine Movie Scenes
I discussed this on the FromThe108 podcast the other night, but I am surprised that people are so surprised that rich people do coke. Here’s me discussing that and my top 5 cocaine scenes:
Here are my top 5 cocaine induced scenes from movies:
5 – American Psycho – Trying to do drugs…
The nightclub scene is an absurd scene within a movie full of absurd scenes, but hilarious dialogue throughout. My favorite part of the scene is when the outburst is casually blamed on steroids.
4 – Deep Cover – He wanted to play a game
Great soundtrack, great movie. You guys all love quirky Jeff Goldblum, but you need to see maniac lawyer turned cocaine distributor Jeff Goldblum in Deep Cover. And in this scene you get to see him get his hand demolished playing a children’s game.
3 – Scarface – Say Hello to my Little Friend
This is the Free Bird, the Stairway to Heaven of coke scenes. From a movie that was so over the top violent that it was X Rated, the end of this movie is fucking nuts. You already know the iconic coke pile on the desk meme, so let’s cut to the end:
2 – Goodfellas – Helicopter scene
This is Henry Hill at his most paranoid and Ray Liotta is incredible in this scene. Harry Nilsson’s Jump Into The Fire is not a track I would normally associate with high tension, but it is so perfectly laid over this scene. It works on every level and you break a sweat watching it.
1 – Boogie Nights – Sister Christian
Everyone who saw this movie in theaters walked away saying that scene was fucking intense and then immediately went home and recorded a bunch of songs onto a tape or CD and called it “My Awesome Mix Tape #6”. The firecrackers are both hilarious and a constant jump scare throughout the scene, just wonderful.
I probably missed like 50 great scenes, hit me up on the socials and let me know what I missed.
