24 Xmas Beers In 24 Days – Days 6-10 | 12 Days of #108Mas

Day 6: D&G Brewing – We’ve Gone Nuts

A small brewery out of St. Charles, I had never heard of D&G Brewing until this beer. We’ve Gone Nuts poured out brown in color as expected. There was a whole lot going on with this beer as they added in black walnuts and bourbon oak chips into the brewing process. Also included was “a touch of caramel” according to the label. I enjoyed the mild bourbon taste as well as the caramel flavor of this brown ale.

Day 7: Wake Brewing – Invisible Xmas Fruited Wheat

Invisible Xmas was quite the experience. Wheat beers are always something that I’ve enjoyed because of how creative breweries can get with what they add to the beer. The blood orange and cherry flavors were thoroughly enjoyable and loaded up front. On the back end the raspberries were a great finish. From days 6-10 this was also my favorite can art as well. The only drawback was the milk sugar added as I think this would have been an even better beer if they kept that out of this brew.

Day 8: Pig Minds Brewing – Jollyride Chocolate Cherry Red Ale

Joyride had a lot going on from beginning to end. The artwork was top notch with a Santa Pig riding a reindeer bird in the shape of a sleigh. I’m normal and I like chocolate, however, combining that with cherries in a red ale was something I was hesitant about. After a few sips of this one I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious Joyride was. It was joy and it was definitely a ride, it reminded me of Cherry Coke but in beer form.

Day 9: Industry Brewing – Holiday Haze

Holiday Haze had a variety of hops which is standard for many hazy IPA’s. This was another well designed label with a lot going on. I really enjoyed the simplicity of Holiday Haze as they didn’t overthink it and just made a delicious hazy IPA with the perfect hops for this time of year.

Day 10: More Brewing – Tripel

While I do enjoy several beers from More Brewing, I did not like this beer. That is all.
