FromThe108 and Our Community
You may have noticed the 108ers (BeefLoaf, Chorizy-E, and MySoxSummer) have not posted much at all about the current events in our city and around the country. We don’t want you to think that it’s because we do not care. It’s more that we just don’t know what to say. We typically want to make you laugh and maybe share a beer. And we promise to keep doing that. But we have also been trying to figure out what would help. So we came up with a few ideas to try to help our community. Because at the end of the day, that’s what we’re about and that’s how we can actually initiate change.
Donations
Each of the 108ers is donating $108 to a cause that helps our community:
BeefLoaf donated $108 to IGrowChicago
Chorizy-E donated $108 to Tim Anderson‘s League of Leaders
And MySox Summer is donating the proceeds from his Wave Sucks video ($106) + $2 to Chicago Freedom School
Volunteering
We have all signed up for the White Sox Volunteer Corps. Unfortunately, right now there is not much going on. But hopefully very soon all of us can get back out into the community and do some good. We look forward to seeing all of you.
Fundraising
If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen us raise money various ways for different causes. We’re going to take that a step further and start creating mystery shirt designs. These will be shirts that we create and all the profits from them will go to a charity of our choosing. Stay tuned for this.

We know that these things alone will not fix all of society’s problems, but it’s a start and maybe it will inspire others to do the same. I mean, if 3 husky boys in a hot tub can find a way to help, can’t you too?
