12 Days of #108Mas: Does MSS Like Christmas Beers?
You might or might not remember that I, MSS, do not like Oktoberfest beers. Fucking despise them. Even wrote a blog about it, and risked life and limb carrying a sign at the ChiSox Craft Beer Fest telling everyone it sucked. So as the holidays are approaching, I thought I would take on another seasonal beer that usually loved or hated, Holiday / Christmas Beers! Unlike Oktoberfest though, Christmas beers can be a variety of styles, so let’s take a look at a few of the popular ones.

Fistmas from Revolution Brewing
So this is such a easy drinking beer even at a 6.5 ABV. It’s a red ale, and described by them as – “steeped with ginger and orange peel. It features notes of fresh-baked bread, caramel, and stone fruit along with holiday cheer.”
I will drink this, it’s not a fave, but I will drink it.

Christmas Ale from Great Lakes Brewing
You see this beer EVERYWHERE. But I’ve never had it. Can’t review it.

Jingle Java from Bent River
Bent River brews Uncommon Stout year round, and this beer Jingle Java, is basically Uncommon Stout enhanced with vanilla, pecan, cinnamon, caramel and rum to give it a flavor that is the perfect complement to the holidays.
