Star Wars: Tales Of The Empire Easter Egg

If you haven’t watched Tales Of The Empire yet, go check it out as this is a bit spoilerish.

I love me some easter eggs, especially in a franchise I cannot get enough of. And I really appreciate them when you don’t need to know about them to watch anything else, but knowing adds a little bit of depth to other stories. In the end of the Morgan Elsbeth arc of the show, there is a moment at the end when she destroys a comlink right after someone speaks. A fine scene on its own, it shows the hopelessness of the planet she rules over. But if you had the captions on or if you watched the end credits and pieced it together, there is a little more.

That’s right, Katee Sackoff returned to voice a single line from Bo-Katan Kryze in this series (and hopefully got paid a ton). Not only does this make a lot of nerds very horny, it also explains how she knew where Ahsoka was when she sends Din Djarin and Grogu to meet her. There is a little more to this as well. At this point Bo-Katan has enough of a force to go liberate Corvus and take down another Imperial holdover. But she doesn’t. Knowing that Ahsoka is hellbent on finding Thrawn she dispatches her there like a mercenary. It may have not gone down exactly like that, but what we know about both characters at that point, it probably did and it reinforces how consumed they were with each of their goals.

But yeah, cool easter egg.
