Chicago Cubs Save Money…By Copying Other Teams Giveaways!
Baseball season is right around the corner and most MLB teams are announcing their giveaways for the 2025 season. AND if you haven’t seen it already, the Chicago White Sox tapped us to announce their Sunday Bobblehead Series Presented by United Airlines! Watch Our Video HERE!

I’m a big bobblehead guy and help run a Chicago Bobblehead Collector’s group on Facebook. It’s a great group of guys who trade or sell their extras. One of our members posted some pics of the bobbleheads that the team up north is releasing. Let’s take a look…

Besides only giving away 10k bobbles, something else really stood out. That Greg Maddux Bobblehead looked SUPER FAMILIAR. Hmm, I wonder why…

Holy shit! In 2023 White Sox Charities did this lovely bobblehead (even better). Fan favorite pitcher, rain delay, tarp slip and slide, seems almost too convenient. But as the #1 108 investigative reporter, 1 example doesn’t make it true. But then I noticed this…

Well, that bobblehead looks awfully familiar. Oh shit, I remember it now, that dude from the Royals! Last year’s #108ing Road Trip we hit up Kansas City (was fucking lovely), and the giveaway was a Maikel Garcia bobblehead that IS STRIKINGLY SIMILAR to the new Pete Crow-Armstrong release from the Cubs.

One difference, I guess, is the helmet isn’t attached to the base? Will Pete’s hair be customizable? Would that save this from being the second ripoff for the Cubs in 2025? ONLY TIME WILL TELL. Cue Billy Mays….
I was looking thru the other giveaways and saw something that looked pretty familiar. Take a look…

Well that looks great. It’s almost like I have worn this before…

Goddamn I am beautiful. Still not sold? Look at this.

I mean, wow. That’s really blatant. That’s incredibly lazy. That’s exactly the SAME design people! I haven’t been this pissed off at someone on the northside since Obvious Shirts tried to get free design work from hundreds of people! Shame on you Cubs marketing department, SHAME ON YOU.

Now, I hesitated including this because it’s not EXACTLY the same. But it’s pretty damn similar. And there is a popular graphic I wanted to include. You’ll understand it in a second.

Adding Clark to the scoreboard makes it unique I suppose. But it seems like the White Sox have provided the inspiration yet again. Makes you wonder though, does Clark have any pants on back there? Or is his furry member just slapping that scoreboard? Really makes you think right?

Clearly, Tom Ricketts’ comments were heard loud and clear. The Cubs need to save money and one way is to use the ideas of the team down south when creating your giveaways. It’s quick, it’s efficient and so goddamn lazy. Do better you thieving bastards.
